Go green!

We love our planet – it’s pretty impressive and we want to keep it that way for as long as possible, so our great, great, great grand children can enjoy it as much as we do. This is why we are encouraging our customers, friends and anybody else that will listen to ‘go green’!

Not in an Incredible Hulk kind of way, but in a ‘save the environment’, ‘reduce your carbon footprint’, or ‘any-other-buzz-word-you-can-think-of’ kind of way.

Most people are pretty clued up on saving water and recycling at home (the different coloured bins kind of help) but how can businesses be greener? Well, here are a few top notch ideas to get you started:

  • Why not give this ‘paperless office’ concept a go? Don’t print as much and you will soon find that you are spending less on paper and ink. All whilst saving the rainforests – marvellous!
  • Turn your computers and monitors off at night to save energy. It might mean your computer takes a little longer to wake up in the morning, but let’s face it, that just gives you more time to make a cuppa!
  • Turn off those lights when you leave. This goes for air con and other appliances too!
  • Be sensible with water at work - just wash up once a day, make sure taps are turned off, fix any dripping taps etc ... you know the drill with this one.
  • Make sure your hand dryer is efficient and doesn’t waste energy
  • Use natural, non toxic cleaning products. Ok, so of course we’d recommend this but we are experts and know what we are talking about! Natural cleaning products are kind to the fishes and are really rather effective. In fact, swapping to eco-friendly cleaning detergents is one of the easiest ways to go green so give it a try today!
